An early Victorian silver novelty mustard pot, modelled as a standing owl, inset with glass eyes, the body cast and chased with a textured plumage, holding a mouse in it's beak, the mouse forming the finial of the mustard spoon, blue glass liner present but smashed, Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox, London 1845, 6.33toz, 9 by 6 by 9cm high.
Provenance: Purchased Phillips, New Bond Street, Lot 163, Sale 19708, 6th February 1974.

No major issues, however the hinge has side to side play, there are various dents, scratches and wear from use. The blue glass liner is present but smashed with a piece missing and held together with tape.
