A Victorian photographic album of Falkingham Kesteven County prison inmates, dating from 1870, titled to top of page 'A photographic likeness of each prisoner as required under the Habitual Criminals Act copy of which is forwarded to the Registrar, seven days previous to being discharged.', containing over 600 portraits, each approximately 5 by 9cm, of elderly and young men and women, as well as children, some duplicates or possible repeat offenders, in green cloth folio with leather edges.
Notes: at least 62 photographs are without names or details of offences, some of these are duplicates.
