A Villeroy & Boch Mettlach pottery exhibition style vase and cover, circa 1910, moulded in relief with profile busts of great Nuremberg artists Veit Stoss (ca.1450-1533), sculptor, Peter Vischer (1460-1529), sculptor, Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528), painter and printmaker, Adam Kraft (1455-1508), sculptor, and Wentzel Jamnitzer (1508-1585), goldsmith and polyhedral artist, surrounded by floral and foliate swags, against a pale blue and grey ground, green stamped factory mark and incised '1247', 16 by 49.5cm high.
