A Victorian 18ct gold pocket watch by J. Sykes, Huddersfield, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, minute bands and Arabic five minute numerals, blued steel hands, repeating and chiming movement with chain fusee drive, signed, serial 28452, the back engraved with crest, the motto, 'Noli irritare leonem' (Don't anger the lions), and interlocking initials, the interior engraved with 21st birthday presentation inscription and dated March 1878, case no 452, Chester 1877, in original box (damaged) with green velvet lining, 124.8g total.
