A vintage Cartier 18ct yellow gold cased lady’s Tonneau wristwatch, circa 1986, model No 07 III, serial A102956, cream guilloche patterned dial with black Roman numerals, blued steel hands, cabochon sapphire set crown, 17 jewels ETF movement, cal. 2512, case number 22496 63, on a later red leather strap, case 21 by 33mm, 22.6g gross, in original fitted branded and gilt tooled red leather box lined with white satin, numbered 536, with Guarantee booklet dated 14th February 1986, instruction booklet, and Service Guarantee booklet dated 18.1.96, purchased from Cartier, New Bond Street, London. Notes: in partially working condition, winds and adjusts, runs across 15 min test but stops eventually, requires full service, Batemans cannot guarantee its continued operation.

An early 19th century, Louis XV style, miniature tortoiseshell veneered vitrine cabinet, with ormolu mounts, bombe form glazed front and sides, shaped door to back accessing two glass shelves, raised upon gilt metal scroll legs, 30 by 17 by 61cm high. Provenance: Privately owned and once housed a collection of Queen Mary's doll's house furniture.

A vintage Enicar Automatic Sherpa Super-Divette stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch, circa 1960, 'Seapearl' 'Super Compressor' steel case made by Ervin Piquerez (EPSA), with gold sunburst dial and contrasting silvered internal dive timer bezel, calendar aperture at 3 o'clock, baton numerals with inverted luminous dots at 6, 9, and 12, twin crowns - one for the bezel, the other setting time and date, winding, signed 24 jewels movement, cal. A-R 1145, bayonet case back, on a later stainless steel bracelet strap with deployment clasp, 78.9g gross, 36mm case. Notes: in working condition, keeps time across 1hr test, however Batemans cannot guarantee its continued operation.

A Victorian silver centrepiece, the pierced basket supported on a column above three classical female figures, on a rococo scrolling three footed base with presentation inscription in Latin dated 1858 to Rev. William Dobson of Cheltenham College, J E Terrey & Co (John Edward Terry), London 1847, 121.5toz, 24.5 by 52cm high, in its original oak fitted storage case. Provenance: sold on behalf of Rev. Dobson's family, Dobson was the second principal of Cheltenham College (1845-59), he received the silver centre-piece in recognition for his service as principal, although it was reported on his retirement in 1859 'he did not ask for a service of plate, but for a handsome and comfortable brougham and pair' (Rev. T. Mozley 'Reminscences' pub. circa 1882).

Two 19th century violins, comprising a 19th century Scottish violin, by Hardie & son, Edinburgh, dated '1823', main body length 13 3/4 inches, overall length 23 inches, together with a continental violin bearing maker's label dated '1749', single piece maple back, main body 14 1/4 inches, overall length 23 1/2 inches, with associated fitted case for two violins. (1 case) Provenance: from the family of Gabor Miklossy, a highly regarded artist, trained musician and collector.

A fine and rare late 18th century Swedish Gustavian campaign desk by Georg Haupt, master in Stockholm 1770-1784, the mahogany chest form body with line inlaid detail and twin gilt brass hinged carry handles to the sides, an oval escutcheon to the front fold down section, opening to reveal a fitted interior with six drawers flanking a central cupboard, inset with an oval painted oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman, framed by an inlaid and stained laurel wreath tied with ribbons against a satinwood veneered background, the fall front with integral lift slope and fold out section with three carved recesses, all raised on two pairs of folding square section legs and a fold out front apron, with brass stays and sprung retaining lock, signed into the inlay of the lower corners of the central portrait panel 'G. Haupt fecit a Stockholm', 105 by 49 by 47.5cm high, 105cm high with legs extended.

A late 19th century gilt bronze sculpture, after the Antique, modelled as Emperor Hadrian's lover Antinous in a nude standing pose, lost wax (cire perdue) process, depicted in fine detail wearing a grape decorated wreath upon his head, a goat skin, the small horns and cloven feet visible, draped over his left shoulder, high lacing sandals upon his feet with toes exposed, with hollow eyes possibly previously fitted with precious stones, raised upon a circular base with stiff leaf borders, with cast mark for 'Bellman & Ivery, 37 Piccadilly, London, By Appointment to the Queen', base 24cm, figure 58cm high, 62cm high overall.
