A large Chinese Ming style blue and white dish, probably early 20th century, decorated in underglaze blue heaped and piled style with two long tailed parrots perched on branches eating peaches, inside a mixed floral and fruit spray border, the exterior decorated with Lingzhi scroll, underglaze blue apocryphal horizontal Xuande mark below outer ring, 55cm across and 10cm high.
Heavily potted, some firing faults and imperfect glaze showing the clay beneath, otherwise in good condition with no cracks or major damage, some wear and small chips evident.
Provenance: Private local collection inherited by decent.

This dish is in good condition with no cracks or major damage that we can see. There are some firing faults and imperfect glaze showing the clay beneath. There is some wear, especially in the centre where light scratches from use can be seen. Finally there is some discolouration to the glaze - mostly on the rim.
