A Chinese Yixing stoneware teapot and cover, late Qing / Republic period, of compressed globular form, the cover with water buffalo finial, the body incised to one side with Chinese text, the other side with mountainous landscape, impressed six character mark to base and further impressed mark to underside of lid, 21.5 by 11.5cm. Provenance: Purchased by the vendor's grandfather, an Antiques Auctioneer, between 1920s and 1940s.
