A set of sixteen Victorian tiles, likely once belonged to the Lowther family, one painted with James Lowether, aged 9, sitting upon a hill drawing the landscape, who was later the 1st Viscount Ullswater, MP and Speaker of the House of Commons 1905 - 1921, other tiles painted with his siblings Mary, Mabel and Mildred, others depicting landscape scenes, likely showing views of properties owned by the family, all hand painted in blue, two marked Minton to backs, 15 by 15cm.
