A Chinese export porcelain plate, Qing dynasty, 18th century, the body painted with floral sprays and coat of arms, the motto inscribed to ribbon below 'Flecti sed non frangi' meaning 'Bent but not broken', band of further floral sprays to rim between gilt chains, shaped and moulded rim, base unmarked, 24.7 by 3cm. Provenance: The Private Lincolnshire Estate of a Danish Family.
