A Chinese Yixing stoneware teapot and cover, late Qing / Republic period, formed as a mandrake root, the branch form handle curing around and ending with incised and applied leaves to body of pot, the lid with gourd form finial, impressed mark to underside of lid, 23.5 by 9cm. Provenance: Purchased by the vendor's grandfather, an Antiques Auctioneer, between 1920s and 1940s.
