A Japanese stoneware part tea service, early 20th century, modelled with faux bamboo green painted handles, decorated with birds and flowers against a buff ground, and most with calligraphic script in iron red to the bodies and bases, comprising teapot, 14cm, milk jug, 10cm, twin handled lidded sugar bowl, 10cm, two small plates with wavy rims, 13cm, nine cups, 6cm, and ten saucers, 12cm, together with a similar part tea service, decorated with insects against a buff ground, comprising teapot, 9.5cm, twin handled lidded sugar bowl, 7cm, two cups, 5.5cm, and a saucer, 13cm.
