A Spode part tea service, circa 1820, pattern number 2036, with lilac bands moulded in white relief with floral sprigs, and having gilded highlights, comprising rectangular teapot, with lid and stand, 27.5 by 14.5cm, similar sugar bowl with lid, 15.5 by 12cm, creamer, 14 by 9cm, four egg-cups, 5 by 4.3cm, with stand, 19 by 5cm, two slop bowls of graduated size, largest 18 by 9cm, four large tea cups, 11.5 by 6.5cm, two smaller tea cups, 10.5 by 6cm, six coffee cans, 9 by 6.7cm, two larger saucers, 15.5 by 3.5cm, and four smaller saucers, 14 by 3cm, two graduated dishes, 21.5 by 4cm, and ten side plates, 18cm, with red painted pattern number and Spode to bases. (36) Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
