A Victorian majolica lidded game pie dish by George Jones, circa 1875, 'Partridge with empty nest', of oval form with twin naturalistic branch handles, the lid surmounted with figure of a partridge, the sides decorated with rabbits amongst oak and ivy leaves, grass and ferns, impressed marks, 33 by 19 by 17cm.
