A diamond, sapphire and 9ct gold bar brooch, early 20th century, with central 1.6ct round brilliant cut stone flanked by alternating graduating diamonds and sapphires, largest sapphire 5.5 by 4.5 by 4mm, smallest 4.5 by 3.5 by 2.5mm, approximately 4.5ct total diamond weight, seven diamonds and six sapphires total, 6.2 by 0.8 by 1.0cm. Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
