An Arts and Crafts oak carved sideboard by Edward Bowman, with mirrored gallery back, three frieze drawers above two cupboards and central ogee arched alcove above smaller drawer, all intricately carved with oak leaves, wheat, hops and ivy with an egg and dart border, the top similar with columns and two side candle shelves and central bevelled mirror, 201 by 55 by 215cm high.
Provenance: previously from Ivydene, home of Edward Bowman senior and was made by him for the house, the back is inscribed EB, the Bowman Brothers of Stamford were renowned for their church carpentry work in the early 20th century.
