A Godstone 'Iron Peartree' gout water bottle circa 1755, in saltglazed stoneware, of ovoid form, grooved strap handle, and two medallions to the shoulder, each moulded in relief one, with a man on crutches, raised lettering above declaring 'Oh the Gout', the other with the same man standing without support and stating 'Drink and be well', with 'Iron Peartree Water near Godstone Surry' inscribed below to the body, similar examples are to be found in The Victoria and Albert and The British Museums, 26 by 39cm high.
