Edward Ardizzone CBE RA (British, 1900-1979): two pen and ink humorous sketches, both depicting a Georgian gentleman and a housewife, in one the gentleman leaves via a gate in a low picket fence, the woman with her left arm raised waving, in the other he offers a bag of money to the woman who raised her arms in exclamation, each intialled EA lower right, each 11 by 16.5cm, mounted, glazed and framed, 29 by 34cm.
