A large collection of Victorian and later editions of The Lincoln, Rutland and Stamford Mercury newspaper, including 1840's, 1860's, 1870's, 1880's and 1890's, plus one from 1935, approx 250, together with various editions of Drakard's Stamford News, 1810, 1821, 1822 and 1823, one reporting on an assault of the proprietor Mr Drakard on fen 23rd 1821 describing his being attacked in his office for publishing an article titled 'Lordly Humanity', No 595, Vol 12, several further editions of other papers including the Times 1918, The Daily Mirror 1918, The Nottingham Journal 1884, The Lincolnshire Herald 1874, The Yorkshire Paper 1922, The Sporting Life 1884, Live Stock Journal and Agricultural Journal, and two sets of Edwardian Auction posters, comprising two copies of 'Grimsthorpe Estate, Aslackby Farm, 251 Acres, to be let by Auction by Messrs Saul on 1st April 1916', and ten copies of 'Swinstead, to be sold by Auction by Messrs Saul on 28th March 1916, the whole of the live and dead farm stock, comprising 3 horse, 22 beast, 20 sheep', both printed by John T. Morris, Bourne, all contained within a vintage metal trunk and a wooden crate branded for 'The Old Home Soap' (5 boxes plus trunk and crate)
