A 19th century gilt metal temple sculpture of a guardian lion or foo dog, likely Nepalese, modelled in standing pose with head turned to the right, tail curled over it's back held on a support, a swirling mane covering the neck, further scrolling to the body, and the legs with feathered armour plates, traces of gilding still present and would once have been adorned with precious stones, 32 by 60 by 69cm high, on a rectangular stepped base, applied decorative scrolling plaques and geometric corners, 39 by 54 by 21cm high.
