Notes: Ardmore Ceramic Art was founded at the foothills of South Africa's Drakensberg mountains, by Zimbabwean born ceramicist Fée Halsted, Ardmore's colourful works, adorned by a team of local artists, often take inspiration from wildlife and nature, but also from historic events and styles. A significant exhibition of Ardmore ceramics was held at the Sefako Makgatho presidential guesthouse in Pretoria in 1997, and Christie's South Kensington held a dedicated auction of the studio's output in 2007.
