Laurence Broderick MRBS FRSA (18 June 1935 – 18 April 2024): An important portfolio of original drawings and photographs for the Bronze Bull located outside the Bullring Birmingham, this 4.5-meter-long, 6-ton bronze sculpture by Laurence Broderick is a well-known city landmark, consisting of fourteen signed A2 sketches each dated July 2001 and numbered, with number 14 entitled "14th drawing and it was the drawing I decided to make", also thirty four photographs of the maquette including one of Laurence Broderick with the drawings behind him and a coloured sketch of the bull in situ.
Provenance: from the estate of the late Laurence Broderick's wife Ingrid Christa Broderick. Laurence Broderick FRSA was a British sculptor. His best known work is 'The Bull', a public sculpture erected in 2003 at the Bull Ring, Birmingham.
