An early 18th century oak cottage longcase clock, the 9" square brass dial signed 'Nichols, Oundle', single steel hand over a matte centre, brass chapter ring with engraved black Roman numerals, diamond half-hour markers, and internal minute band, the corners with applied cherub, crown and foliate scroll spandrels, 30 hour bird cage movement striking on a bell, the square hood with gilt slip to square glazed door, plain ebonised case with full length door, on a shaped plinth, with pendulum, single weight, and lead 'donut' weight, 45 by 26.5 by 195cm high.
