Fees

A Meissen porcelain figure group, modelled as 'Persian with Elephant', early to mid 20th century, depicting a sultan enthroned on a richly attired elephant, with a blackamoor driver seated on its head, outlined in gilt, impressed number (pressnummer) '67019' and '279M', after the model by Johann Joachim Kändler and perhaps Peter Reinicke, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, and red painted '49', 28.5 by 12 by 26cm high.

More Information

Some small damaged parts - the top part of the Sultan's staff has broken off and is missing, with possible restoration to his left arm, and the end of the blackamoor's hammer appears to have broken off and restored.
Otherwise in good condition with minimal wear and dirt build up.
