A Dutch 19th century tortoiseshell etui with 14k gold sewing implements, the red velvet lined interior fitted to include two x winders (2.2g and 2.5g), needle 1.15g, thimble 4.3g, scissors with gold blade cover (cover 2.6g, scissors with gold handles, total weight 9.4g) , pointed awl 6.6g and needle case 4.7g, all pieces marked with oak leaf gold mark, makers B and E & H (?indistinct). The shaped case with bone edge and bun bone feet, silvered escutcheon with key. 14cm x 9.5cm x 4cm.
