British School (19th century): a portrait of an Elizabethan lady, possibly Mary Queen of Scots, wearing a white veil with double pearl pendant, a lace ruff centered by a ruby brooch, a black dress with puffed and slashed sleeves, and a gold chain around her neck with large gold cross pendant, apparently unsigned, oil on board, 22 by 17.5cm, in a modern gilt frame, 27.5 by 23cm.
