Lot 60After C. Rosenberg two Maritime themed coloured engravings, 'Trial of R.Y.S. Brig Water Witch on 6th Sept. 1832 off the Scilly Islands with H.M. ships Vernon, Donegal, Stag & Snake' and '... with H.M. ships Vernon, Castor & Snake' both 'published by W.J.Huggins marine painter to His Majesty 1834', 37 by 43cm, frame 50 by 57.5cm, and a 19th century legal bond, dated 1813, mounted in double sided frame. (3).
Lot 73A group of prints, comprising two limited edition prints after Sue Macartney-Snape 'The Exciting Hat' 192/600, 'The Marvelous Hat' 189/600, both 38.7 x 28.7cm, an Artist's Proof 'Fast Lady' signed by Derek Foster, an unsigned print after Russell Flint, and a reproduction print of Exton Park. (5).
Lot 134After Henry Alkin (1785-1851) and Thomas Sutherland (1785-1838), two early 19th century hunting prints, later hand coloured, one with letter verso detailing provenance as a gift to Peter Paget in 1929, Peter Paget was a school friend of David Niven and later was killed in WWII, both prints have mahogany and gilt metal mounted frames. Lot 205After Frank Paton (British, 1855-1909): 'Coming Events Cast Their Shadows Before', an engraving with South African map within the border cartouches, signed in pencil lower right margin, published Leggatt Bros. dated 1900, 21 by 27cm, framed, 34 by 37cm, together with a set of ten seaside caricature cartoon engravings, Kershaw and Son, London, numbered and titled to the plate, each 11 by 11cm, framed together, 35 by 79cm. Lot 218Charles H. Pinet (French, 1867-1932): a group of five engravings, 'Notre Dame Vue Du Pont de la Tournelle', La Seine a Paris, engraving, numbered 21 top right, with title lower margin, 8 by 13cm, glazed and framed, 15 by 23cm, together with two 19th century engravings of Stamford, including St. Mary's Church, after W. Bartlett from History of Lincolnshire, 18 by 12cm and 'High Street Stamford', circa 1822, from Drakard's History, 13 by 17cm, both glazed and framed and Tattershal Castle, from England Displayed, 18 by 23cm, and Harlaxton House, 18 by 24cm, the latter both 19th century and hand coloured. Lot 221Sarah Louisa Kilpack SWA (British, 1839-1909): a rural village scene, possibly the Channel Islands, with figures talking in the lane, tall trees above, watercolour, signed lower left, with legend verso, 22 by 20cm, framed, 40 by 35cm. The artist more famous for stormy coastal maritime studies and Channel Island scenes..
Lot 230Elsie Anna Woods SWA (British, b. 1887): 'Coniston Water', watercolour, signed lower right, with title verso, 20 by 25cm, together with E. E. Starmer (Irish, 20th century): a landscape with chapel beside a lake, watercolour, signed lower left, 17 by 35cm, mounted, 28 by 48cm and a study of a girl on a beach, watercolour, signed with monogram E.A. and dated 1921, 40 by 20cm, mounted, 52 by 29cm. Lot 235Bone (British, 20th century): a pair of town scenes, the larger depicting a road towards a country church, with figures on bicycles to the fore, the smaller an ancient town wall gateway, watercolours, signed lower right, 50 by 75cm, framed, 72 by 97cm, and 37 by 55cm, framed, 54 by 70cm. (2).
